Saturday, July 15, 2017

The MD4 and District 4-C4 YEP team, volunteer lions and leos, as well as host families will be at the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) "Welcoming" all European youth exchange students. Lions and Leos will be wearing their club uniforms with club banners for easy identification. Students will be handed off to their respective host families. Host family contract (house rules) will be discussed and signed. "Get to know" and "rest day".

Students will be be pick up at Lions Rufo's house by Lion Roger Cayabyab( SF Host) at 8:00 AM.

Lion Roger ( SF Host)- Lions Insight of CA and NV volunteering and Tour in AM c/o Lion PID Dr Bill Inaacconne and PDG Linda Griffin (4-C3), Possible Jelly Belly Tour in the afternoon.At 7:30 PM , at AT & T Park to watch the Giants VS Cleveland , tickets c/o Lions Alvin and Angie Louie (SF Unified). Students will be drop to their respective host families by Lion Roger.

Lion Manny Paje cp 650-4384516( SF Host LC) will pick up students from their host families and drop them to downtown SF (Powell Station/Hallide Plaza at 10:00 AM. Lion Rhodora David - CP 650-219-6401 ( SF Dynamic) . Lion Rhodora will Tour SF through SF Public transportation-Cable Car Ride to Fisherman's wharf with multiple stops such as Lombard St/Crookedest St, etc.Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, etc.> Lion Manny will pick-up the students from the designated place /Powell Station/Hallide Plaza with Lion Rhodora., and will drop them to their respective host families.

Lion August (SF Fil-Am LC) will pick up the students at 07:30 from their respective host families.

08:15-11:00

Tour of the Genentech campus in South San Francisco, courtesy of Lions Calvin (Millbrae LC) and Scot (San Carlos LC). Students will receive a tour of the Genentech commercial training areas within it's GateWay campus, as well as a background/history of the company and tour of Lion Scot's research lab and the production facilities in the main campus.

11:30-13:30

After picking up Lion Paul (SF Fil-Am LC), students will be allowed to roam the San Francisco Japantown area and have a light snack.

14:00-21:00

Students will be dropped off at Lion Rufo's (SF Fil-Am LC) house for a half rest day.

21:00-23:00

Lion Clinton (SF Nueva Vizcaya LC) will pick up the girls for a game of bowling at Sea Bowl in Pacifica. Pacifica Beach.He will then drop them off at their respective host families.

Friday, July 21, 2017

Lions DG Mario and Rose Benevente ( San Bruno ) will pick up the students from their respective host families and will bring them to Great America Amusement Park. Possible stop over to Stanford University , etc. In the evening, dinner sponsored by Lions Conn and Uni Buckley ( SF Host).Lions DG and Rose will drop the students to their respective host families.

10:00-12:00

Lions Jun and Luisa (SF Fil-Am LC) and Lion George (SF Supreme LC) will take the students to the Millbrae Lions Club's Relay for Life, courtesy of Lion Calvin (Millbrae LC).

12:00-21:00

Lions Jun, August, and Paul (SF Fil-Am LC) and Lion George (SF Supreme LC) will take the students to Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park to feed the ducks and rent a paddle boat to go around the lake. They will then bike across (or walk along, if unwilling) the Golden Gate Bridge. The day finishes with dinner at Tanforan mall.

Lions Michael (Silicon Valley Cyber LC) & PDG Macy (SF Chinatown LC) Chan will bring students to Silicon Valley (headquarters of YouTube, Facebook, Google, Apple, Stanford), and the Monterey Scenic Drive and Carmel-by-the-Sea.
